Jackson County Undersheriff Chris Kuhl tells us a dead body has been found in Liberty Township.
Sheriff's deputies were called to the Adams Road boat launch around 8 a.m. after the body was found by a group of hunters.
Based on the position of the body police have ruled the death a homicide.
The body is female, but police are not releasing the identity until family members have been contacted.
