After 12 days of working non-stop, the BWL has confirmed this morning that it has reached full restoration.
Ten customers are the exception. They must wait for a complete repair of two power poles before BWL can put their homes back online.
A few hundred customers are wating for single contract repairs. This means they have to do repairs to damaged equipment, which they are responsible for. Then, the bwl can restore their electricity.
When we talked with a BWL spokesman at one this morning, he issued an apology for the hardships customers faced during this outage and also expressed a heartfelt thanks to line workers.
There were no injuries reported or deaths during the 12 day restoration. Only one lineman from Coldwater was injured on the job, when he fell from a ladder on Christmas Eve Day and broke a few ribs.
