ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Ann Arbor police say three people have been arrested in the fatal shooting last summer of a University of Michigan medical student.
Police Chief John Seto says the suspects had no previous connection to victim Paul DeWolf or to the university. Charges weren't immediately filed Thursday but are expected.
Police haven't released their names.
The 25-year-old DeWolf was found fatally shot in an off-campus apartment in July after failing to appear for work at a hospital. He lived in a building with other medical students.
DeWolf was a native of Schoolcraft in southwestern Michigan and a graduate of Grand Valley State University. Hundreds of people turned out for his funeral.
He was attending medical school on an Air Force scholarship and held the rank of second lieutenant.
