Armed Thief Robs Lansing Twp. Gas Station

LANSING TWP - A thief used a gun to rob a gas station on the east side of Lansing Township Thursday afternoon. The robbery happened at about 1:40 PM at the Clark Gas station at 2818 E. Kalamazoo Street. Police say the man entered the store, showed a handgun, and demanded the cash. He stole cigarettes, as well as the money, and left on foot. No shots were fired and no one was hurt.

A Lansing Police Department canine assisted, but was unable to locate the suspect through a track.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid to late 20’s, approximately 5’10” to 6’ and of average weight. He had short brown hair and green eyes with some facial hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt with the word “OLIVET” on the front, black shorts, and white tennis shoes. The suspect also had several tattoos on both of his lower arms.

This armed robbery remains under investigation by Lansing Township Police Department. Anyone with information should call 517-485-1700.
