The State of Michigan's largest model train show rolled into town Sunday.

Thousands of visitors attended the annual show, officially dubbed the Lansing Train Show and Sale, at the Michigan State Pavilion to see hundreds of models and collectible trains.

Organizers say the show attracts more than 500 vendors from states across the Midwest and proceeds from the show benefit the Lansing Model Railroad Club.

"This show is our lifeblood for the club, this is how we fund all our projects, pay our taxes, pay the bills, so we put a lot of work into this show," said Charles Holman, president of the club.

"It's great to see all the families coming out, seeing all the layouts that come so it's been a good day."

The show will be back in town again on November 9th.
