Ingham County is pulling an all-nighter to find homes for the animals staying in its shelter.

It's the second year the shelter in Mason is doing this, staying open for twelve hours straight, in hopes of putting every animal in a forever home for the holidays.

According to ICAC staff member Monica Carr, the holidays are a tough time for everyone and the animals are no exception. "We see more animals brought to the shelter the week before Christmas than any other week of the year other than the Fourth of July." "We're lucky because we have homes to go to at the end of the day but they don't," said Carr. "That's why we're staying all night at the shelter with our shelter dogs and cats until every last one go home with a good family."

The event starts at 4pm Friday.

There will deals on adoption fees, as well as refreshments and prize giveaways.
