The pet food pantry at the Ingham County Animal Shelter's Outreach Center in Lansing could really use dry dog food.
The pantry is there for people who need help getting through rough times so they can keep their pet instead of being forced to surrender them because they can't afford the food.
The shelter says it has distributed nearly 2,000 pounds to first-time recipients in the last sixty days. People can use the service up to three times in a year.
If you have dry dog food you can donate, drop it off at the Ingham County Animal Shelter in Mason at 600 Curtis Street or the Outreach Center at 826 West Saginaw in Lansing. The Outreach Center is open from 4pm - 7pm on Tuesdays and 12pm - 4pm Thursday through Saturday.
