After Delays, Marketplace Riverfront Development Underway

Groundbreaking work began today on a long-awaited downtown riverfront development that has been delayed for more than four years.

Today marked the official start to site clean-up and construction on a downtown riverfront development that has been in the works for years.

The Marketplace development, being developed by Pat Gillespie, is slated to be a mixed-use facility to be built on the site of the old Lansing city market.

Bob Trezise of the the Lansing Economic Area partnership described this development as a catalyst for future riverfront projects.
