Police say a suspected drunken driver collided with a police cruiser and crashed into the Muskegon Heights campaign office for Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry.
The crash happened early Monday. When one campaign volunteer got to the scene, she saw a wrecker hauling the car out of the middle of the building.
The damage is expected to be repaired and the campaign office is expected to be back in action later this week.
The 36-year-old driver escaped injury. He was being held at the Muskegon County Jail for third-offense operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor and for driving with a suspended license.
