Clean-up crews have been very busy in Vermontville. Debris from Wednesday's storm is almost gone at Maple Valley Junior Senior High School and the football field is free and clear of any mess.
Superintendent Kim Kramer says staff as well as the community is just amazed at how quick the work has been done. On Wednesday, pieces of the roof were scattered all around, but on Friday it was difficult to find any debris thanks to the crews.
The football field has also been cleared, allowing for the first game of the season to go on as scheduled. Athletic Director Mike Sparks says he is ecstatic to see it go as planned. Kickoff will be Friday night at 7:00 p.m.
