A nursing supervisor at a Howell nursing home is charged with stealing pain killers from patients.

But Jeffrey Wolos won't stand trial, thanks to a plea agreement with prosecutors.

The 32-year-old Wolos was charged in June with a felony count of possessing narcotics, a felony count of stealing prescriptions, and a misdemeanor count of neglecting a patient by removing prescribed medication.

The Swartz Creek man had faced nine years in prison if convicted as charged.

The state Attorney General's office is withholding details of the plea agreement until a court hearing late next month.
