Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox and 27 other attorneys general are asking the federal government to investigate energy drink companies. They want to know what kind of ingredients are used in beverages like Surge and Monster. They're also worried about companies marketing alcoholic energy drinks like Sparks and Bud Extra to minors. Anheuser-Busch vice-president Francice Katz responded by saying the government should focus on keeping alcoholic beverages out of kids' hands, especially hard liquor products. A Miller Brewing Company spokesman says they meet all federal regulations for marketing and labeling alcoholic products.
