"Spotty" Corn Crop

Local farmers say the corn crop has rebounded from May's torrential rains, but not all of Michigan is so lucky.

Eric Voisinett of the Michigan Corn Growers Association says North of Laingsburg including Saginaw county was especially hit with rains that suffocated corn seedlings.

The result is low to no corn yield for some farmers.

Overall the state expects an average corn crop and nationally that crop is expected to be larger than normal.
