Jackson Plans Homecoming for Soldiers

A Jackson- based National Guard unit will be home Friday after serving in Iraq for more than a year.
The 1461st Transportation Company arrived in Indiana Sunday.
They were deployed to Iraq in June of 2006.
The Guard unit is scheduled to arrive back in Jackson at 2PM on Friday and be greeted with a warm welcome....
A parade is planned through the city, ending at the fairgrounds.
The homecoming will be emotional for the family of Sergeant Matthew So per of Jackson.
Soper was a member of the 1461st and was killed in Iraq in June.
Sergeant Soper was on his second tour of duty.
