A Livingston County couple will get to watch their son row for gold in Athens.
Andy and Mary Warner will be there to see Steve compete in the men's lightweight four event.
Steve Warner rowed for University of Michigan's club team from 1997 through 2000. He has been on the US rowing team for five years, but this is his first trip to the Olympics. His father thinks the team has an outside shot at a medal.
The Warners will be in Greece for two weeks. They say the best thing about seeing their son compete overseas is experiencing European culture.
