A 74-year-old man was killed in a Jackson County traffic accident Thursday morning, sheriff's deputies tell WILX.com.
Daryle Douglas was slowing down to turn from northbound U.S. 127 onto Loomis Road, deputies say. He was rear-ended by a following car.
The collision knocked Douglas' car into oncoming traffic. A tractor trailer slammed into his car.
Douglas was pronounced dead at Foote Hospital.
Deputies tell News 10 no one else was seriously hurt.
