If you cast your ballot in the primary election, you may have noticed more than just election officials and voters at your precinct. Poll challengers were also out double checking the election process.
Eric Doster of the Michigan Republicans says they just want to see that the process is working fairly. The Republicans had two volunteers out at local precincts today checking that people were properly registered and that voters weren't being pressured to cast their ballot a certain way.
The Democratic Party was not out at the polls. Executive Chair Mark Brewer says the party does not place poll challengers for the primary election, but it will have plenty of volunteers out for the general election when voter turnout is higher.
