A fire in a remote backwoods area of the eastern Upper Peninsula has grown to 15 thousand 400 acres.
Evacuations were ordered for about 200 people living near Pine Stump Junction and County Road 407.
County Road 407 was closed. State authorities were going to campgrounds in the area to let visitors know about the road closing, so they could decide on their own whether to leave.
Authorities say they plan to set up a five-mile-long fire line to the northwest of the growing blaze.
No injuries have been reported and no structures damaged.
State DNR officials say the fire started last Thursday in the Sleeper Lake area of Luce County and may have been ignited by lightning.
The area has had sparse rainfall and temperatures in the 80s.
