Officers on patrol found a woman, outside, under a tree in Hunter Park. That's near the intersection of Kalamazoo and Holmes Streets.

Her body was found around 4:30 Tuesday morning. Her identity is not being released. An autopsy has not been performed yet.

Neighbors tell News Ten problems in the park are nothing new. "Sure it concerns me, but prostitutes walk by here day and night. They're dead drunk and outta their mind high and it happens daily, daily," says Annette Shauver. She lives across the street from Hunter Park.

Lansing Police Lt. Bruce Ferguson says this homicide is not related to any other in the area. Community activist Ruth Hallman was brutally attacked in her Genesee neighborhood home last month. A woman in her 20s was found by firefighters in a Hosmer Street apartment Sunday.
