David Comrie, 50, was found dead in his Bellevue Place Apartment Thursday evening. The discovery has the Eaton County Sheriff's Office searching for answers and investigating the case as a homicide.
Neighbor Shari Hawkins says nobody heard anything, but she noticed that Comrie hadn't been outside all day. Hawkins alerted the apartment complex manager who checked and ultimately found Comrie dead.
Eaton County Sheriff Rick Jones says no official cause of death has been determined but an autopsy Friday revealed a cut on the back of Comrie's head. Jones says there was a large amount of blood in Comrie's apartment when he was found and that's why it's being treated as a homicide right now.
