Late Thursday afternoon, Meridian Township Police say the body of an East Lansing woman reported missing just a day before had been found. A passerby notified police of the body. It was found in a field near Cornell Road, and Orlando Drive in Meridian Township.

East Lansing Police say 35-year-old Tammie Sue DuBay left her apartment yesterday, without her wheelchair, or her medications. Because she was gone for so long, her family and police suspected foul play.

DuBay was last seen with a man her family and police believe she may have been dating 48-year-old Paul David Gibbs. They say he is not a suspect in the case, but they would like to talk to him as a witness.

Gibbs does have a criminal record; he's already served 15 years in a Jackson County Prison for a variety of offenses. He's currently out on parole, and has not come forward in the case.
