Artists from all over the world will be able to live and work in Jackson, once the Armory Arts Project is complete. It costs more than $10 million, and comes from a combination of state funding, tax credits, and private grants. The state funding stems from Governor Granholm's "Cool Cities" initiative. Nearly 40 artists will be able to live in affordable studio lofts, and share their work with the city.
