People in Mid-Michigan are catching lotto fever. The jackpot is now up to $220 million. If it rolls over Tuesday night, the new jackpot will total around $280 million, setting a new record for mega millions.
Jennifer Quimby is the Public Relations Coordinator for the Michigan Lottery. She says anytime the lottery rises to over $200 million, ticket sales skyrocket. But Quimby says the big winners are Michigan schools. Thirty-four cents of every dollar ticket go towards education.
