Last month, Central Michigan University withdrew its charter relationship with Lansing's Walter French Academy. That forced the academy to search for another charter authorizer, and now they have given up that search.
The Academy will announce Thursday that the school will close for good. That means 400 students and about 35 staff will need to find another school next year.
