In court Wednesday, the city of Lansing denied American Eagle Superstore's petition to own a fireworks permit for their store on Larch Street.
Co-Owner James Stajos says the company plans to appeal, but it also plans to sue the city.
The Lansing city attorney's office says it denied American Eagle's permit based on prior violations. However, Stajos says those prior violations were thrown out of court and shouldn't stop the city from issuing a permit.
Stajos is offering a "buy one get one free" coupon for anyone who goes to their Larch location hoping to buy fireworks.
