A respected source in the automotive industry names a product that could be coming to General Motor's new Delta Township Plant. A spokesperson for GM will neither confirm nor deny the claim.

A June 21 article in 'Automotive News' says a sport wagon vehicle modeled on the Lambda architecture will be built at the newly constructed plant once operations begin in late 2006. GM says that's little more than a guess because no announcement has been made.

Art Baker, Chairman of UAW Local 652, says GM has been looking at several products. Art Luna, President of UAW Local 602, says GM doesn't want to let the cat out of the bag yet and as soon as the automaker is ready, the product will be unveiled to the public.
