Charlotte Factory Closing
137 workers will lose jobs at Owens-Illinois glass container factory.

A glass making plant in Charlotte will close soon. All 137 employees will lose their jobs.
Owens-Illinois announced today that it is closing the plant as it realigns production. Production will end May 1.
The plant makes glass containers for the food industry.
A company spokesperson tells WILX.com all employees will be offered some type of separation benefits.
