Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III has authorized criminal charges against 7 current and 2 former MSU football players. The charges are related to an incident at Rather Hall on November 22.
Roderick Jenrette: 3 counts of Assault or Assault and Battery
Glenn Winston: 2 counts of Assault or Assault and Battery
Fred Smith: 1 count of Assault or Assault and Battery
BJ Cunningham: 1 count of Assault or Assault and Battery
Jamiihr Williams: 1 count of Assault or Assault and Battery
Mark Dell: 1 count of Assault or Assault and Battery
Ashton Legette 2 counts of Assault or Assault and Battery
J'Michael Deane: 1 count of Assault or Assault and Battery
Chris L. Rucker: 1 count of Assault or Assault and Battery
In addition, all 9 suspects will be charged with one count of Conspiracy to Commit an Assault and Battery.
Coach Mark Dantonio kicked Jenrette and Winston shortly after the incident. He then suspended 8 players, the 7 who are facing charges and Ishmyl Johnson, who is not on the list released by the prosecutor Wednesday.
None of the suspended players will travel with the team to the Alamo Bowl where MSU will play Texas Tech.
