EAST LANSING -- Coach Mark Dantonio made what all of East Lansing already anticipated official Sunday night: Michigan State University is headed to the Alamo Bowl.
The game is slotted for Jan. 2 in San Antonio, Texas. The competition? Texas Tech, a pass-first, run-second offense that could pose a problem for the oft-porous Spartans pass defense -- especially with starting defensive back Chris L. Rucker out on suspension.
Dantonio announced Saturday in an impromptu press conference that Rucker and seven of his teammates are suspended indefinitely for their involvement in a Nov. 22 on-campus fight.
Check back into News 10 for continuing coverage of the game.
