Over 10,000 Seek Medical Marijuana
The Michigan Dept. of Community Health has received over 10,000 applications to register for medical marijuana.

The Michigan Department of Community Health has issued statistics on the number applications it has received and accepted since it began its medical marijuana registry in April of this year.
Program Statistics:
* 10,393 applications received since April 6, 2009.
* 5,873 patient registrations issued.
* 2,440 caregiver registrations issued.
* 1,867 applications denied -- most due to incomplete application or missing documentation.
* An average of 66 applications are received each day.
