Video Games in Class?
One local elementary school is not just allowing, but encouraging playing video games at school...for good reason.

Under different circumstances, a parent who walked in on video gaming in the science classroom at Lockwood Elementary would throw a fit.
It is a Playstation game the students are lined up to play--all in the name of physical education.
"It's fun because it's not just sitting down and playing regularly video games. It's actually getting exercise and playing video games at the same time, so it's good!" explains Sierra Williams, 4th grader.
She's talking about playing video games with a Cateye Gamebike. Students saw them in a video they watched in health class--and suddenly, their instructor Eric Frohriep had a movement on his hands.
"We basically paid for 'em with pennies, dimes, and nickels," he explains. "The PTO bought us one, the kids bought one, and we're just short of buying another one right now with kids' money."
He knows the kids will play video games with or without him, and his theory-- if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
They use the two bikes to compete against each other. There is always a group of them waiting for a turn during recess.
"They don't even realize how hard they are working until they're done. You can see it in their eyes--they're peddling, they're peddling, and when they are done, they're wiped."
The students are honest about why they are here.
"I like it's because its fun to play video games at school," laughs Caitlin Lehto.
Even so, Frohriep would be proud to see these bikes in every PE class in the state.
