Ingham County Expands Swine Flu Vaccine Eligibility
Those eligible now include people between the ages of 10 and 24.

Ingham County's Health Department continues to expand the list of people eligible for Swine Flu vaccine. Now people between the ages of 10 and 24 years old can receive the vaccine. Also, all health care and emergency medical services personnel are eligible.
That means at least 65,000 more people are eligible for the vaccine, which is roughly half of Ingham County's population.
The list of people eligible for Swine Flu vaccine is now:
·Pregnant women.
·People who live with or care for infants under 6 months old.
·All children, youth and young adults ages 6 months through 24 years old.
·Adults ages 25 through 64 years old who have an underlying medical condition that places them at higher risk for influenza-related complications. These people should provide documentation of their medical condition, such as a doctor’s note, prescription, or an empty pill bottle.
·All health care and emergency medical services personnel
The Health Department's next community vaccine clinic will be held Monday, November 30 at Williamston High School. The vaccine is also available at the Health Departments Cedar Street clinic.
Also, the Health Department has recently distributed more than 12,000 doses of vaccine to physicians and hospitals.
