Napoleon Township police have arrested two suspects wanted for a home invasion and assault of a 49-year-old woman Tuesday.

It happened on the 6000-block of Brooklyn Road. Police say the two suspects broke into the woman's home and allegedly assaulted her with a metal flashlight. They also took several items from the home including a rifle.

A short time later, a witness spotted the two men and police made a traffic stop, where they found several items taken from the woman's home.

The two were taken into custody within two hours of the incident. They will be arraigned Wednesday.
