Jackson Police say two students are responsible for a fire at Middle School at Parkside last Thursday.
Jackson investigators say two 12-year-old boys who attend Parkside caused the fire.
They say the seventh graders were playing with bottle rockets and a jar of gasoline on the roof above the girls' locker room when they accidentally tipped over the gas, starting the fire.
The two boys have been turned over to their parents and are now waiting for a decision by the Jackson County Prosecutor on whether he will charge them with arson.
The boys have been suspended for 10 days and face the possibility of expulsion.
