Grand Ledge Teen Accused of Shooting at a Car

A 19-year-old Grand Ledge man is in custody today accused of shooting at a motorist, causing an accident, and fleeing the scene.

Eaton county sheriff's deputies say it begin around 6 o'clock this morning on Saginaw Street near Rupp Road.

That's where a motorist says he saw the suspect standing by a car on the side of the road.

As he passed by, he says his passenger side window was shot out.

He turned around and chased the suspect who had already taken off in his car.

The chase turned onto Nixon Road where the suspect ran a stop sign and struck an oncoming vehicle.

The suspect drove away, while the motorist stopped to check on the person inside the vehicle.

A description of the suspect’s vehicle was sent out and he was located a short time later. A 22 caliber rifle was found in his ca and deputies say the suspect was intoxicated.

    Another problem kid.....that's what I'm talking about. What a chump. This kid (almost an adult!) comes out shooting at any random car! That's crazy. Must have stole his parents meth! I go through G.L. everyday....with my son....what a chump!
