UAW Asks DaimlerChrysler to Stay Together

United Auto Workers union President Ron Gettelfinger says he wants to keep Chrysler part of Daimler.

He told reporters today that he plans to take his case to the German company's supervisory board.

Gettelfinger says there are advantages to keeping the companies together.

He serves as an employee representative on DaimlerChrysler's supervisory board.
