Highland Park police say an argument that turned physical ended when a father fatally shot his 15-year-old son in the head.
Police said the 37-year-old father and his son had an argument Monday afternoon that turned violent in a field outside the family's home in the Detroit enclave.
Family members tell The Detroit News that the teen was marched naked out of a home by his father to an adjacent field, while he and his mother begged the man not to shoot him.
The teen later died at a nearby hospital.
Police have not identified the victim or the suspect, and declined further comment.
The man remains in police custody.
