Republican Presidential Contender John McCain touted his plan to use community colleges to educate and retrain displaced workers while visiting Holland.
McCain proposes establishing programs at community colleges nationwide in which training for displaced workers would be tailored to suit local employment needs.
The Arizona senator told guests at an Ottawa County Republican Party dinner that displaced workers need what he called "portable, affordable health insurance."
McCain is scheduled to speak on Friday in Kalamazoo.
Thursday, he spoke in Oakland County, where he told Republicans the U.S can't afford to withdraw troops from Iraq.
