The Boichot Concrete Corp. is in the process of selling off the rest of its equipment in an auction April 29. This ends the business longevity in Lansing that dates back to the 1880s.
The president of the Corp. says tough budget times, the delay of the General Motors Delta Township plant, and bigger competition forced the company to close its doors.
About 30 employees will be laid off when the company sells its equipment and assets.
The employees were notified about the business closing down in February.
