Lansing Police are releasing a description of the person they believe is responsible for Sunday's shooting in downtown Lansing that left one person dead and three injured.

Police say witnesses have described a black male, 18-23 years old with a medium complexion and thin build. The suspected shooter has short, wavy hair and could be anywhere from 5'7" to 5'9" tall and was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

Police say just before shots were fired, the suspect, the person that was killed, 18-year-old Marcus Ford of Chicago, and a group of Ford's friends were seen having an argument. Three other people, two Michigan State University students and a Lansing resident, were also shot. Police say the three that were shot and injured are not connected to Ford.

Dozens of witnesses have been interviewed about the Sunday morning shooting that occurred in a parking lot off Michigan Avenue, in downtown Lansing, but police still need more information. Please contact the Lansing Police Department at (517) 483-4628 with any details.
