Judge to Decide Custody of Ricky Holland's Remains

Ingham County prosecutors will ask a court to decide who has control over Ricky Holland's body.

The seven-year-old was murdered in 2005. His adoptive parents are serving time for his death.

Wednesday a special prosecutor will ask to have the Tim and Lisa Holland's rights terminated. That would allow the Ingham County Medical Examiner to make funeral decisions.

The remains of murder victims are usually handed over to the next of kin, but the court must make this decision because the parents have been convicted.
