Spring Arbor Road in Summit Township is open again after a deadly two-vehicle collision near Robinson Road.
The accident happened just after 10 p.m. Thursday night. Rescue crews were on the scene until 4 a.m. Friday morning.
Jackson County Sheriff Deputies say one vehicle ran a red light, hitting another car traveling northbound on Robinson Road.
The female driver and a male passenger of the car that ran the red light were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was airlifted to a hospital in Ypsilanti in critical condition.
Sheriff Deputies say the accident is still under investigation, and say all involved in the collision were wearing seat belts. They do not know if alcohol was a factor.
