President Bush will be in the Kansas City area on Tuesday to tour two auto assembly plants and discuss his plan to reduce fuel consumption.

Bush will visit General Motors Fairfax assembly plant in Kansas City, Kansas, and Ford's Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo, Missouri.

Bush has set a goal of reducing overall gas consumption by 20 percent over a ten-year period.

He's also proposing boosting alternative fuels and imposing stricter gas mileage requirements on automakers.
