Detroit-Based Compuware Worries About Vulnerability

The chief executive of the Detroit-based software company says it risks an outside takeover unless it starts making more money.

Compuware executives are reviewing the recommendations of an internal committee set up last year to review its operations. The company hasn't made the recommendations public.

Chairman Peter Karmanos issued the warning in an Email message to employees yesterday.

Compuware employs about four-thousand people at its downtown Detroit headquarters and about 76-hundred people worldwide.
