The Ingham County Medical Examiner is back at work on Monday, after a year of military service overseas.
Dr. Dean Sienko is starting his first full week of work since returning from Kuwait. Sienko was in command of the 804th Medical Brigade.
The brigade evaluated medical resources and added combat support service to warfighters. Dr. Sienko left his post at the Ingham County Health Department in February of 2003.
He says his time overseas was one of continuous adjustment and uncertainty. Sienko says as medical examiner, he continues to work on emergency preparedness for any potential bio-terrorist attack in this part of the country.
