The Lansing School District says the teacher was placed on leave Thursday, when allegations first were reported.
They'll say only that they involve inappropraite conduct with students.
A paid leave is district policy.
The Lansing Police Department was called to investigate these claims. They have interviewed several students.
The district sent parents a recorded message Tuesday to explain the situation. They will send letters home Wednesday.
Many parents, like Carrie Ellis, who is the mother of three Riddle students, says that was too long to wait.
"I want to know who did it, and I want to know today," she told us.
A district spokesperson says they regret a lack of communication, but promises to provide updates on the situation as soon as possible.
