Skin Cancer Detection

Knowing the signs of skin cancer is just as important as early detection. Here's a look at what to watch out for.

The ABCD signs of Melanoma;

  • A- Asymmetry: One half doesn't match the other

  • B- Border: Irregular and scalloped

  • C- Color: Varied from one area to another

  • D- Diameter: Larger than the size of a pencil eraser

But according to doctors, melanoma isn't the only form of skin cancer to watch out for. There's also Basal cell carcinoma, sometimes characterized by a red patch of skin.

Basal cell carcinoma can be removed surgically, but doctors strongly suggest getting checked before it can get worse.
