Lansing Dreads 2005 Budget

These fears come on the heels of the council approving a $1.5 million cut to balance its current 2004 books.

The most recent cuts primarily scale back administrative spending and defer the expenses of various sewer and road projects.

As a sort of compromise the council managed to fund five city positions that could include maintenance and parks and recreation workers.

Thus far, the city has avoided laying off any city employees.
