A deadly virus is making its way through Asia, killing people there and sickening others.

Health experts say this strain of bird flu has not made its way to the United States.

Avian Influenza, better known as the bird flu, is attacking wild birds and chickens in Asia. Avian disease experts say there has been influenza in poultry here, but not the type that affects humans.

Human infection in Asia has been traced to contact with manure and saliva from infected birds.

There is no evidence of human-to-human transmission. Health officials say the virus is easily killed when cooked by heat.
