Former Michigan Congressman to Investigate Military Hospitals

Former congressman Joe Schwarz of Battle Creek will help investigate conditions at military hospitals.

The Secretary of Defense named him to a panel looking into reports of poor conditions and delayed care at hospitals like the "Walter Reed Army Medical Center."

It treats soldiers injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Schwarz is a physician.
